I work at the intersection of lived experience and cultural tension.

My films begin in something private. Often bodily, emotional or unresolved — and expand into larger questions about identity, systems, and the stories we use to survive them.

I’m drawn to what sits just under articulation: hesitation in speech, fragmented memory, and the contradictions between what we desire and what we do.

A core part of my practice is working with real people inside scripted or semi scripted frameworks. I build structures that are precise enough to hold narrative direction, but open enough for real behavior, contradiction, and emotional unpredictability to survive inside them. I am not interested in performance in the traditional sense, but in presence under constructed conditions — how people remain themselves even when the situation is designed.

I don’t separate documentary from fiction, or personal from political.

For me, truth is constructed and cinema is where that construction becomes visible. What I am ultimately searching for is not realism, but emotional accuracy.
